HUNTSVILLE BALLET OPENS THE 2024-2025 SEASON WITH THE FOUR SEASONS

Huntsville Ballet Company opens its 61st season with Unplugged, which features a performance to Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons” and the world premiere of “Night Songs”.

Vivaldi’s beloved baroque concertos come to beautiful life as the excitement of each season is evoked through the choreography of Artistic Director Phillip Otto, the live musical accompaniment, and the performance of the talented dancers.  The accompaniment for “The Four Seasons” will be provided by Huntsville Ballet musicians with Lisa Wiggins acting as concert master. Lisa received a master’s degree in music from the University of Miami. She has performed in multiple venues and currently plays in the Huntsville and Mobile Symphony Orchestras.

Night Songs”, also choreographed by Phillip Otto, features original music composed and performed by Jackson Love, a Huntsville pianist and composer. Mr. Jackson earned his Bachelor of Music at the University of Alabama in Huntsville and received a Master of Music in Theory and Composition at Southern Illinois University.  In 2019, he composed “Amore” and performed it with the company at its premier performance.

Each performance of Unplugged will conclude with an audience favorite, a Q&A session during which audience members will have the opportunity to meet and ask questions of the dancers and company director.
