Huntsville Ballet’s 61st Season Continues with The Nutcracker performed with the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra.

HUNTSVILLE, AL — Huntsville Ballet continues its 61st Season with its 57th annual presentation of The Nutcracker, once again accompanied live by the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra. Performances will take place December 12–14 at the Mark C. Smith Concert Hall in the Von Braun Center.
This beloved holiday classic features a cast of 140 dancers, including Huntsville Ballet Company’s full roster of 15 professional dancers. The remaining cast members are talented students from Huntsville Ballet School. For generations, The Nutcracker has been a cherished holiday tradition, following Clara and her Nutcracker Prince as they battle the Mouse King and his army, journey through a snow-filled forest, and arrive in the Land of Sweets to be entertained by the Sugar Plum Fairy and her court of magical characters.
“We are extraordinarily grateful to be able to perform The Nutcracker with the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra,” said Artistic Director Phillip Otto. “There’s something special about performing with a live orchestra—the audience can truly feel the energy.”
Special Performances
As part of its community outreach, Huntsville Ballet will host more than 3,000 area third graders for special school performances on the mornings of December 11 and 12.
